Show VIA - China 2005

After I was staying in 2004, together with the Dutch Art Institute five weeks in Nanjing, I went again to China in 2005. This time it was a privately organized Schow in Xiamen and Quanzhou, both in the Fujian province in the P.R. of China.

The first show took place in the Qidian Art Centre in Quanzhou, my subject there was " observation of the observers ". I have used as a material, five plastic rings, rope, women's clothes, spying Camera and a monitor.

We showed the second show at the Xiamen university, there I built a temple from bamboo and tape, inside a video which was taken up in the original in a temple in Quanzhou, was to be seen. The video shows a slowmotion scene from the temple together with a text from an email which I have sent to my family.
